The purpose of the Youth Opportunity program is to assist low-income youth in selected Chicago high schools to complete high school and to develop career interests and employment skills through job placement.

These goals will be accomplished through intensive case management/counseling in the schools, career awareness programs, job readiness training, and ultimately job placement.

Students enrolled in the Youth Opportunity program maintain an 80% average attendance rate, 85% graduation rate, and they exhibit an increase in skills based on the six MHA Labs 21st Century Skills Building Blocks.
