TWO IMPORTANT TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES IN SEPTEMBER
The Illinois Department of Human Services, Division of Substance Use Prevention and Recovery (IDHS/SUPR) is offering two trainings in September for all IDHS/SUPR funded substance use disorder (SUD) treatment organizations.
CEO 201: Training Webinar on Required Quarterly Reports - Executive leadership from all IDHS/SUPR funded SUD treatment organizations are invited to participate in a training opportunity on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm. The webinar will discuss the Periodic Performance Review (PPR) documents required and due quarterly for expense-based awards.
CEO 201: Training Webinar on Required Quarterly Reports will be presented by two team members of IDHS/SUPR. Rick Nance, Deputy Director of Business and Fiscal Operations and Joe Tracy, Manager of Contracts Development and Implementation, will present on the connection between the PPR documents and the Uniform Grant Agreement (UGA) and how these forms are used to monitor award performance and expenditures. Please note that time will be allotted for questions and discussion, and we encourage providers to bring their questions. We also recommend having your UGA available during the webinar for reference as it will be extremely helpful.

Webinar: The Evolution of Sports Betting in the US - All IDHS/SUPR providers are invited to participate in a training webinar on "The Evolution of Sports Betting in the US" on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm. This webinar will review the history and development of sports betting in the United States. It will also provide information on the characteristics of an individual who bets on sports and what the dangers are in sports betting that can impact individuals at risk. The presenter, Robby Fuqua, has extensive experience with treating individuals with substance use disorder and gambling disorder. CEU's will be available.
