Announcing Next Round: BHbusiness Online Courses for Behavioral Health Providers
The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) is pleased to announce the next round of online courses in the BHbusiness: Mastering Essential Business Operations program. BHbusiness courses are designed to help executives prepare their mental health and/or substance use disorder, organizations for success in a rapidly changing healthcare environment. BHbusiness helps providers not only compete in a new environment but create innovative products and services and capture new business opportunities.
BHbusiness (www.bhbusiness.org) offers a series of powerful online courses accompanied by live coaching, peer networking, and practical application on these topics:
- Strategic Business Planning
- Third-party Billing and Compliance
- Third-party Contract Negotiations
- Eligibility and Enrollment
- Meaningful Use of Healthcare Technology

BHbusiness is for providers at any stage of business operations, and particularly focused on vulnerable providers who need support to survive healthcare change.
BHbusiness courses are funded by SAMHSA and provided to participants at no cost. They are created and taught by behavioral health leaders and experts in business. The project is led by State Associations of Addiction Services (SAAS) in partnership with NIATx, the National Council for Behavioral Health (National Council), and Advocates for Human Potential (AHP).
