Developmental Disabilities Service Providers Information Available on the DHS Website

Audience

Consumers and their family members and community developmental disabilities providers.

Purpose 

  • To provide an overview and demonstration of the vast array of information available on the Department of Human Services (DHS) website concerning developmental disabilities providers.
  • Information covered will include types of service providers, locating service providers based on program type, scores from surveys and reviews, abuse and neglect reporting information, and administrative action/sanctions by the Division of Developmental Disabilities.
  • The information is designed to assist consumers and their families to make informed choices about service providers and to monitor the quality of services.
  • This session is provided by the Department of Human Services Division of Developmental Disabilities in partnership with the Illinois Self-Advocacy Alliance and The Family Support Network.
