The Illinois Department of Human Services Division of Rehabilitation Services (DHS/DRS) is implementing a new "Electronic Visit Verification" (EVV) system for its Home Services Program (HSP). This system will help make timekeeping for individual providers, homemakers and home health care agencies faster, easier, and more accurate. We will start using the new EVV system on January 1, 2014.
Beginning on November 12, 2013, Sandata Technologies will be providing training on the DHS/DRS EVV system.
If you are a provider for both DHS/DRS and the Department on Aging and currently have a non-Sandata EVV system, you will NOT be required to attend the Sandata training on our system.
If you are a provider for both DHS/DRS and the Department on Aging and do NOT have an EVV system in place, you can select the EVV system of your choice (at your own expense) as long as it conforms with the specifications established by the Department on Aging. If you choose Sandata as your EVV provider, you will be REQUIRED to attend the Sandata training.
If you are an agency that is a sole DHS/DRS providers and currently do NOT have an EVV system in place, you will be REQUIRED to attend the Sandata training.
Each agency that meets the criteria to attend this training should register at least one staff person for one of the following classroom (in person) trainings:
