Information Memo: CN 12.42 Giving Income to Community Spouses or Dependent Family Members

Summary:

• CN 12.42 (pdf) and CN 12.42S (pdf), Giving Income to Community Spouses or Dependent Family Members, will be centrally mailed to Nursing Home (NH), Supportive Living Facility (SLF), and Department on Aging (DoA) customers diverting income to family members.
• This notice informs NH, SLF and DoA customers that the annual Social Security Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA) increase they receive in January may be diverted to a family member.
• The notice will be centrally mailed to NH and SLF customers December 2012. DoA customers will receive the notice March 2013.
