Effective July 1, 2012, SST coverage in Regions 4 and 5 (central and southern Illinois) will be provided by the Illinois Crisis Prevention Network (ICPN). ICPN currently provides services to Regions 1, 2, and 3, and will now serve the entire state. The ICPN is operated by the Trinity Services, Inc., and The Hope Institute for Children and Families. Kim Shontz, LCSW, and Tim Baker, LCPC, will be the statewide SST Directors for ICPN.
SST offices will continue to be located in:
- New Lenox
Community Ties of America (CTA), ICPN, and the Division of Developmental Disability (DDD) staff are working together on several transition steps to ensure that Regions 4 and 5, as well as the balance of the State, continue to receive the assistance of the SSTs. The DDD Network and Bureau of Transition Services staff have been working with CTA to decide which current open referrals can be brought to closure and which current referrals will be transitioned to the ICPN staff. New referrals, effective July 1, 2012, for Regions 4 and 5 will be made to the ICPN. The process for obtaining a referral will remain the same.
