TEAM Illinois Sites
These sites were chosen based on a number of need-based indicators: Unemployment rates, lack of adequate housing, major infrastructure and utility needs, high literacy rates, general trend of economic downturn, high crime rates, high substance abuse rates, and lack of adequate health care. Established in 2003, TEAM (Together Everyone Accomplishes More) Illinois honed in on the needs of small towns throughout Illinois that needed to be stimulated both economically and socially. With the help of local businesses, churches, faith-based organizations, and schools TEAM Illinois has been successful in creating stability for these originally unstable towns.
