The Autism information Clearinghouse considers information on research and treatment for posting if it is evidence-based and conforms to high standards of clinical research, scientific investigation, and good practice. Randomized clinical trials are
considered to be at the pinnacle of the research hierarchy. There are some promising practices in the field of ASD that don't meet this high standard but may be posted if the following criteria are met: evidence-based, rigorous empirical research design,
verification of knowledge claims, generalizable results across contexts, and peer review.
