Youth Services Standards Assessment
eCornerstone system usage

NOTE:  The Community Support Services Consultant (CSSC) must be on-site at the provider agency, and have logged in to the eCornerstone system with the participation of the agency's Security Coordinator.

Steps:

1. To validate an agency's practice of terminating employees in the eCornerstone system:

  • Select the Administrative Menu.
  • Select the Worker Administration sub-menu.
  • Select Worker Status.
  • Select a Worker from the drop-down menu. Press Continue.
  • The worker's current status will be displayed with the message:
    "Worker (Name) is currently active."
    Or
     "Worker (Name) is currently inactive."
  • Once the status of the worker has been noted, press Cancel to return to the Select Worker screen to continue validating all employees.

2. To validate an agency's practice of assigning system security roles that are consistent with and appropriate to user duties and functions:

  • Select the Administrative Menu.
  • Select the Worker Administration sub-menu.
  • Select Worker Programs.
  • Note the message: "Only case-managed programs are show in this list. Workers do not need special setup to work in non case-managed programs like Teen REACH."
  • Verify which programs the Worker has been assigned to, indicated by a check in the box.
  • Press Cancel to return to Select Worker screen to continue verifying programs for all employees.
  • Select the Administrative Menu.
  • Select the Worker Administration sub-menu.
  • Select Worker Authorities.
  • Verify which authorities the Worker has been granted, indicated by a check in the box.
    • Note: if the employee has been granted entry authority, view authority is automatically granted for that function, even if the box is not checked. An employee may be granted view authority without being given the right to enter/edit information for that function.
  • Verify that the authorities the Worker has been granted are appropriate for the programs and responsibilities the Worker fulfills..
    • As an example, a Worker whose only job responsibilities are in Teen REACH does not need YASI view/entry authorities; an employee who does not work in Teen REACH does not need Attendance entry authority.
  • Press Cancel to return to Select Worker screen to continue verifying authorities for all employees.
