The Parents Too Soon (PTS) program serves new and expectant teen parents living in high risk communities. The goal of the program is to help them learn to effectively parent their child, reduce the rate of subsequent births, improve the health and emotional development of the teen, enhance self sufficiency, and promote healthy growth and development of their children.
Services include weekly home visits and peer group meetings on related program topics. PTS programs are operated by 22 community-based service providers in communities throughout the state.
