The Responsible Parenting program helps adolescent mothers age 13 to 18 living in areas of high teen births. The goal of the program is to delay subsequent pregnancies, monitor consistent and effective use of birth control, enable below post secondary school completion, provide information to help young parents improve parenting skills and cope with social and emotional problems related to pregnancy and parenting and to ensure the teen and her child are healthy and prepared for school. Services include meetings on program related subjects and are offered at two sites.
