Illinois Rescue & Restore

Sign up for Outreach Day!

Volunteer Sign up for Illinois Rescue & Restore Outreach! In an effort to raise awareness about human trafficking and to help rescue victims of trafficking in our communities, Illinois Rescue and Restore will hold its annual Outreach Day on Saturday, April 28, 2012. On Outreach Day, volunteers across Illinois will hang up posters and distribute brochures advertising the National Human Trafficking Resource Center Hotline and other information on how to help victims of trafficking.

The Coalition

Illinois Rescue & Restore is a coalition between the Illinois Department of Human Services (DHS) and the federal government to combat labor and sex trafficking in Illinois. In partnership with law enforcement, social service organizations, healthcare, and advocacy groups across the state, DHS seeks to fight what has been dubbed a modern day form of slavery.

With funds from a federal grant received in 2009, Illinois Rescue and Restore seeks to strengthen local anti-trafficking coalitions and grassroots organizations to raise community awareness about trafficking, identify victims, and rescue victims from enslavement.

If you or someone you know is a victim of human trafficking, please call the National Human Trafficking Resource Center 24 Hour Hotline: 1-888-3737-888.

To learn more about upcoming trainings, outreach, anti-trafficking events, how to join the coalition, and other ways you can help, please see our Related Links, or contact us at dhs.ilrescueandrestore@illinois.gov.
