May 16, 2007 GRANTSMANSHIP WORKSHOP

WHAT: 

GRANTSMANSHIP WORKSHOP presented by experienced staff from the Illinois Department of Human Services, Office of Grants Administration. Workshop participation earns 1 Continuing Education Unit (CEU). The Workshop covers the following topics:

· Program Development: Review a 9-step process for effective program development. Learn to write a better program description that clearly addresses the identified need for the program, and succinctly describes the approach, activities, and methods of assessment and evaluation.

· Grant Writing: Learn to follow a systematic approach for grant proposal development, and avoid the common mistakes that can contribute to a funding entity's rejection of your proposal.

· Representatives from community or faith-based organizations responsible for program planning and/or grant-writing. Maximum registration: two persons per agency.
