Use TA 12/TAR 98 to restore assistance with no loss in benefits. See PM 19-04-01 for the situations and criteria for when you can restore a case with TAR 98. The 30-day
wait does not apply.
The turnaround Form 552 for TA 12/TAR 98 includes the same entries that existed on the case when it was canceled. The client's address (Items 9 and 10) may be changed when processing TA 12/TAR 98.
When assistance is restored after the cut-off date for the month of cancellation, authorize an initial prorated entitlement (IPE) using the 6-digit date that is the first day of the month of cancellation. If a manual IPE is required, process TA 12/TAR
98 through IPACS. The application must be registered.
