Item 44, Client Contact, has 3 fields that provide client contact information about the action being taken. The 3 fields are:

  • 1st  Field - Type of Review Code 
  • 2nd Field - Enter Dash
  • 3rd  Field - Type of Contact Code

When completing Item 44, an entry is required in all 3 fields.

Complete Item 44 for all actions except approvals, denials, and Mercury submittals. Item 44 is completed for all programs.

B revised textOnly use when both a cash or Medical REDE and a SNAP REDE are completed.
F revised textOnly use when a SNAP REDE was completed with an update of Item 24, but a Cash or Medical REDE was not completed.
Also enter when starting SNAP on a Cash or Medical case. 
P revised textEnter when a partial determination of eligibility or correction of information was completed without updating Item 30 or Item 24. (Not all factors requiring verification checked.)
R Enter when a Cash or Medical REDE was completed with an update of Item 30, but a SNAP REDE was not completed. Do not use for community spenddown or SNAP Only cases.

Enter a dash in the 2nd field.

Enter the code that describes the type of contact that led to the action being taken.

F Field visit contact with payee
H Home visit contact with payee
M Mail contact with payee
O Office visit contact with payee
T Phone contact with payee
