WAG 23: Financial Adjustments and Recovery
WAG 23-08-00: Third Party Liability (TPL) (TANF, AABD, GA)
Deny or stop cash and/or medical for an adult who fails to cooperate in obtaining medical support or benefits.
Sends Health Insurance Inquiry (Form 2593) to responsible relatives who are ordered to provide health insurance. The form has a health insurance report on the reverse to identify the health plan covering the dependents.
Follows-up on unanswered, undeliverable, and incomplete Forms 2593.
Sends Health Insurance Inquiry (Form 3110) to the TPL Section when ordered to withhold dependent's health insurance premiums as part of an Income Withholding Order. The form has a health insurance report on the reverse to identify the health plan covering the dependents.
Follows-up when Form 3110 is not received from the employer.
Sends Employee Change/Termination of Medical Insurance (Form 3111A) to the TPL Section when there is a change or lapse in health coverage.
When the TPL Section receives information about health insurance coverage:
Updates the TPL segment of MMIS and the Medical Insurance Inquiry of KIDS.
Uses Form 552, Item 79 and a message in Item 93, and a copy of the Health Insurance Report to notify the Family Community Resource Center of the change.
Uses Client Health Insurance Notice (Form 3257) to tell the custodial parent about the health coverage when the Medical Insurance Inquiry on KIDS is updated.
