PM 24-05-02-c: Earmarked Child Support

Child support payments may be earmarked for:

• children who receive SSI;
• allocation children (PM 08-01-05);
• children in an optional earmarking unit (PM 08-01-05).

Count earmarked child support as unearned income only for that specific child in a Medical Only unit when comparing income to the Medical Standard.

Earmarked support may not be used in determining eligibility for TANF or medical for other members of the benefit unit.
