All claimants must accept the Department's payment standard for the type of claim filed. They must cooperate with the Family Community Resource Center in securing information about available assets when needed.
NOTE: Family Community Resource Centers review all funeral and burial claims except those filed on the death of a child who was receiving Foster Care/Adoption Care Assistance. For those cases, claims are forwarded to the Funeral and Burial Unit.
If a case is held by the All Kids Unit at the time of the client's death, the Family Community Resource Center contacts the All Kids Unit to request transfer of the case record to the Family Community Resource Center for claim processing.
Vendor and reimbursement claims are submitted to the Family Community Resource Center for approval/denial (see WAG 22-06-07). After disposition, claims are sent to the Funeral and Burial Unit for final review. All payments are issued centrally for claims approved by the Funeral and Burial Unit.
