Illinois Link benefits that are lost, stolen, or misused are not replaced.
Lost or stolen benefits issued by check (see PM 22-01-03-b) are replaced when certain conditions are met.
Do not replace lost or stolen checks endorsed by the client. Endorsed checks and cash cannot be replaced.
A client may need proof of the amount and expected date of receipt of replaced benefits, e.g., for a landlord. Provide the client with a written statement if they request one.
An HFS Medical Card can be replaced.
