Screen for a potential mental health problem:
- during the Intake Assessment;
- when completing a face-to-face REDE or review of the Service Plan in VCM or the Responsibility and Services Plan (RSP) (Form 4003);
- when a case is SWAPped from Medical to Cash; and
- anytime you suspect the person may have a mental health problem.
When necessary, refer a person for mental health services when the need for such services is identified. When the person has entered a treatment program on their own, approve them for this activity.
