WAG 20-27-00.
HFS pays for the following transplants:
- bone marrow;
- heart;
- liver;
- lung (single and double);
- heart/lung;
- pancreas; and
- pancreas/kidney.
Other transplants may be covered when a hospital is certified by HFS as a transplant center eligible to perform such transplants.
HFS does not pay for care and services for transplants for ineligible noncitizens receiving emergency medical care.
