The Recipient Restriction Program (RRP) Unit:
- conducts quarterly reviews of client use of the medical program,
- identifies clients who use more medical benefits than the maximum,
- reviews the medical usage for these clients and others who are referred for review, and
- looks at medical use during the past 9 months for clients being reviewed.
A licensed physician and/or pharmacologist reviews records of the client's medical condition to see if the services were needed.
