WAG 19-03-08: Reopening a SNAP REDE Application

PM 19-03-08

Reopen a denied SNAP REDE application if the applicant:

• completes the missed eligibility interview or
• provides missing verifications.

1. Reopen the application, according to the registration process in WAG 02-05-02, with the following exceptions:

   Date of Application -Cooperates before the end of the approval period: enter the original date of application.

   Cooperates after the end of the approval period: enter the date of cooperation.

   Item 33 -Enter TAR 05. 

2. Authorize benefits as follows:
   • Client cooperates before the end of the approval period: Issue a full month's benefits for the first month of the new period.
   • Client cooperates after the end of the approval period: Prorate benefits from the date of cooperation. For example, if a client whose approval period ends on 02/28 provides missing income verification on 03/15, reopen the application and prorate benefits from 03/15.
