The due date of the REDE is governed by the SNAP approval period. Only mail-in REDEs are sent to the client. For a mail-in REDE, the form is sent in the month prior to the end of the SNAP approval period.
A face-to-face REDE is required for SNAP benefits households who do not qualify to use the Phone System Interview (PSI).
The client is sent notification that their SNAP benefits are expiring and that they need to come into the office. When the client comes into the office, complete the TANF REDE. The TANF REDE may be completed through the Phone System Interview when SNAP
households qualify to use the system. See PM 19-07-04 for households who qualify to us the Phone System Interview.
