If a newborn is added to an existing case and the case becomes ineligible before the newborn's first birthday:

  1. Delete the rest of the family from the case.
    1. Set up a All Kids Share, All Kids Premium, or All Kids Rebate case for any person(s) under 19 (other than the newborn) who qualifies.
  2. Update Item 30 to the month of the newborn's birth.

Example 1: Ms. B receives Moms and Babies for herself. The LMDD is 02/01. Her baby is born on 05/06/01 and added to the case. Ms. B fails to respond to the worker's request for proof of current income at the end of the 60-day postpartum period. Delete Ms. B from the case and enter 05/01 in Item 30.

Example 2: Ms. A receives Assist for herself and her son, Jack, age 10. The LMDD is 10/00. She has a new baby, Jessica, on 03/31/01 who is added to the case.

A REDE is completed in 10/01 and income is over the All Kids Share, Premium, and Rebate Standard. Put Ms. A and Jack in spenddown status. Enter code P in Item 78 for Jessica, if necessary, and enter 03/01 in Item 30.

Example 3: Ms. C receives Moms and Babies for herself and All Kids Assist for her 6 year old daughter, Samantha. The LMDD is 09/01. Ms. C has a new baby, Mark, on 11/14/01 who is added to the case.

Ms. C fails to respond to the worker's request for proof of current income at the end of the 60-day postpartum period. Delete Ms. C from the case effective 02/02. Do not update Item 30. Samantha and Mark remain eligible due to continuous eligibility.
