The Last Medicaid Determination Date (LMDD) is in Item 76 on Form 552.

Example 1: The B family is approved for All Kids Assist with no spenddown on 02/24/01 effective 11/01/00. The Last Medicaid Determination Date is 02/01. All persons under 19 are eligible for Medicaid through 02/28/02.

Example 2: Mrs. G, age 45, applies for benefits for herself and her son, Gary, age 12, on 10/01/02. They request backdating to 07/01/02. The case is approved on 10/15/02.

The family's income is above the All Kids Assist Standard for 07/02, below for 08/02, and above for 09/02.

Approve Mrs. G in spenddown status if spenddown is met. Approve Gary in spenddown status for 07/02 and as All Kids Assist beginning 08/02. Gary is eligible for Medicaid for 10/02 through 10/31/03.

Example 3: The Family Community Resource Center REDEs the E family's TANF case on 04/06/01 and the E family remains eligible. The Last Medicaid Determination Date is now 04/01. Each person under 19 in the TANF case is eligible for Medicaid through 04/30/02.

Example 4: The F family's Last Medicaid Determination Date is 11/00. On 02/28/01, the worker SWAPs the case to TANF. The Last Medicaid Determination Date is now 02/01. Each person under 19 in the TANF case is eligible for Medicaid through 02/28/02.
