PM 18-03-00: Changes in the Unit (TANF, FHP, GA)

WAG 18-03-00.

Policy for adding a person to a TANF case depends on whether or not the person is:

• required to be in the case by TANF filing unit policy, and/or
• a newborn (from birth through 12 months of age).

Policy further depends on whether the person is being added to a TANF case, an FHP case, or a GA case.

NOTE: Filing unit policy applies to only TANF cases (see PM 04-01-02).

When adding a child to the benefit unit, the caretaker relative must cooperate in the child support enforcement process (see PM 24-02-00).
