Category 07

Backdate medical eligibility for the month before the month of application, when:

  • an applicant is determined eligible for GA; and
  • they meet all eligibility factors for the month; and
  • income for the month is equal to or less than the correct income standard; and
  • assets for the month are equal to or less than the asset limits.

Category P3 TA

Backdate medical eligibility for any month that is no more than 3 months before the month of application:

  • for which all eligibility factors are met; and
  • income for the month is equal to or less than the P3 TA income standard; and
  • assets for the month are equal to or less than the asset limit.

If, for a backdated month, all eligibility factors are met except countable income is greater than the client's income standard, or countable assets are greater than the asset standard, authorize eligibility for the backdated month as Category 93 spenddown.
