Cash benefits for an eligible GA case usually begin 30 days after the date of application. But if the applicant reapplied within 30 days of the date of a notice of change, issue GA cash benefits without a gap if they are eligible for GA and they were canceled or deleted based on one of the following.

  • TANF stopped because stepparent liability meets the child(ren)'s needs; or the stepparent failed to verify income; or the parent is participating in a strike; or there is no longer an eligible child in the home.
  • AABD cash stopped because the client was no longer blind or disabled.
  • GA Family and Children Assistance stopped because there is no longer an eligible child in the home.
