WAG 16-01-00: Payee

PM 16-01-00.

Benefits are sent to the person whose name is entered in Item 8 of Form 552.

Persons cannot be added when changing a payee. For TANF and GA, submit a separate action to add a person (TA 34) or change category between 04 and 06 or 94 and 96 and add or delete a person (TA 42) after an action to change a payee (TA 14). For SNAP, submit a separate action to add a person (TA 34) before an action to change a payee (TA 14).

The system calculates the correct amount of gap/overlap:

• if the change in the case name places the case in a different mailing schedule, and
• the client was receiving aid on the regular rolls in the original case for the month before the effective month of change in the group number (see WAG 18-06-01-a).
