All instructions in this chapter are for those staff who work with teen parents. This includes contractors and other persons providing case management services who are not employed by the Department, except where Department staff are specified.
The policies contained in this chapter are specific to teen parents. When a policy is not mentioned in this chapter it means there is no difference in policy for the teen parent and others who receive benefits. For example, a teen
parent applying for or receiving TANF has the same asset limits as other TANF applicants or clients (see PM 07-01-00).
