Eligibility for GA and the monthly benefit amount is determined prospectively, by subtracting the nonexempt income received in the payment month from the total amount of needs expected for the payment month. For example, income
anticipated to be received during the April payment month is budgeted against the April payment month needs.
The monthly benefit amount is for a fiscal month. Any reference to "month" refers to a fixed fiscal month. The mailing date of the monthly benefit does not affect the start or end date of the fiscal month.
Clients must provide proof of their earned and unearned income at each REDE of eligibility, or as requested for special reviews.
