The equity value of one vehicle is exempt. Apply the total equity value of all other vehicles to the asset limit.

Only one vehicle may be exempted per Family and Children Assistance case, or Transitional Assistance case. For a husband and wife living together, only one vehicle may be exempted.

If a vehicle has special equipment for the disabled, the special equipment is exempt and does not increase the vehicle's value.
