Child care approved by CCR&Rs and licensed centers under contract with DHS is paid directly to the child care provider. See WAG 25-05-01 for a directory of CCR&Rs.
A TANF client who receives child care services through a CCR&R or a licensed center under contract with DHS at the time of TANF cancellation does not have to make a new request. However, they must meet the eligibility guidelines to qualify. Clients must report a change in income to the CCR&R within 5 days of the change.
Child care payments approved by CCR&R's are issued for work, education, or training activities based on actual verified costs and legal care arrangements.
Clients and child care providers are notified by the CCR&R when supportive service benefits are being approved, denied, reduced, or stopped.
