WAG 06-11-01-a.
The Waiver Program is for persons under age 21 who are medically fragile and technology dependent. The Waiver Program allows HFS to:
- provide medical benefits to persons who may not otherwise qualify for Medicaid, and
- provide services that are not normally covered by Medicaid, and
- not consider the income and assets of the child's parents when determining eligibility.
The program is case managed by the University of Illinois Division of Specialized Care for Children (DSCC).
