At application, tell an SNAP unit that it will not receive a deduction for any expenses it fails to report and/or verify.
In order to receive the deduction, the unit must report:
- child care expenses and
- utility expenses.
In order to receive the deduction, the SNAP unit must report and verify:
- rent or mortgage payment, property taxes and insurance;
- medical expenses; and
- child support paid to a non-SNAP unit member.
