ILLINOIS HELPLINE PROVIDER PORTAL REVIEW AND FEEDBACK/INPUT OPPORTUNITY

The Illinois Department of Human Services/Division of Substance Use Prevention and Recovery (IDHS/SUPR) is seeking your feedback on the Helpline, and seeking your input as we integrate CAPMAN, the Capacity Management system, into the Helpline.

The Illinois Helpline for Opioids and Other Substances, launched in December 2017, is the only statewide, public resource for finding substance use disorder treatment and recovery support services in Illinois. Health care, social service, and treatment providers can use the Helpline website at https://helplineil.org/ to search for treatment and recovery support services for their patients and clients.

Treatment providers have an important role in the success of the Helpline by keeping their program information updated using the Provider Portal, which can be accessed through the "Providers" button on the Helpline website homepage. Accurate provider information ensures that people seeking treatment can efficiently access the services best for them. Participation in the Provider Portal is required for all programs funded by IDHS/SUPR.

To introduce and review the Helpline Provider Portal, and to seek input into Helpline improvements, SUPR will be conducting three online sessions for providers. The first portion of a session will focus on information about the Helpline while the second portion will focus on questions to gather your feedback and input on the Helpline and the proposed CAPMAN improvements. You only need to take part in one of the three sessions below.

IDHS/SUPR is interested in your feedback about the Helpline and to hear your input to inform CAPMAN improvements. CAPMAN is planned to re-launch early 2019, and all IDHS/SUPR funded residential treatment and OMT providers will be required to use the system. In the meantime, providers should continue to report via the current CAPMAN process.

Date Time Link to Register
First Session: Tuesday, October 9th 12:30 pm - 3:00 pm Register for Session 1
Second Session: Thursday, October 11th 12:30 pm - 3:00 pm Register for Session 2
Third Session: Tuesday, October 16th 12:30 pm - 3:00 pm Register for Session 3

CAPMAN will be accessed via the Provider Portal, centralizing processes for both providers and the Helpline. Your designated program administrators will be able to set staff permissions, and your staff will have access only to your own program's confidential capacity and waitlist data. This confidential information will not be accessible by any other program, or by any Helpline staff.

IDHS/SUPR strongly encourages that at least one person from your team attend one session. Staff who should attend are those responsible for current CAPMAN data entry, staff assigned to maintain the portal, and supervisory staff. Input from both leadership and intake staff or others who interact with admissions and waitlists is critically important to develop a responsive and efficient system. If further clarification is needed, please direct your inquiry to Rafael Rivera at Rafael.Rivera@illinois.gov.
