ILLINOIS HELPLINE PROVIDER PORTAL

The Illinois Helpline for Opioids and Other Substances is launching a self-service Provider Portal on May 11, 2018. The Helpline Provider Portal will provide a log-in to the new Helpline website, HelplineIL.org. Providers will be able to log in to their Helpline Provider Portal account and make real-time changes to their program information on the Helpline. As you save changes, they will go live on the Helpline website and call center database. To keep data secure and accurate, certain changes, such as those made to the services you offer, will require Helpline approval before they become public.

On Friday, May 11, 2018, all SUPR-licensed treatment organizations will receive an email with instructions for logging into your Helpline Provider Portal account from the Helpline team. Initial emails will be sent to the organizational representative, the same person receiving this Bulletin. These representatives will have administrative privileges to add or remove other staff members and manage those staff's editing privileges. This allows you to make changes yourself or assign Helpline updating privileges to other team members.

It is an expectation of the Illinois Department of Human Services, Division of Substance Use Prevention and Recovery (IDHS-SUPR) that you will log-in to update and/or verify your Helpline program profile(s) by May 21, 2018. We also expect that you will work to maintain your program's Helpline profile by logging in to the Provider portal to make changes as they occur. The Helpline maintains different information from SAMHSA or SUPR licensing. Though there is some overlap, it is important for you to log into the Portal even if you have made changes in other systems because the Helpline is requesting information that will better target referrals to your organization. Accurate Helpline information is essential to maintaining an accessible system of substance use prevention, treatment, and recovery support services.

Because this is the initial launch, the Helpline will also be soliciting your feedback to help improve the Portal. This will be done through a survey available in the Provider Portal. We request that you complete this survey by Monday, May 21, 2018.

If you do not receive an email on May 11, 2018, you can also sign up for your own account after that date by visiting HelplineIL.org and clicking the provider log-in at the bottom of the page. There, you will be able to create an account and submit a request to the Helpline to be associated with your program(s). Helpline review and verification will be required before users are associated with a program. If a co-worker at your agency receives an invitation, they can add you or other program/agency staff to the account instantly, without Helpline approval.

Because the system is still being finalized, we request that you do not attempt to log into the Portal until you receive the email with your log-in details from the Helpline on Friday, May 11, 2018.
