The Bureau of Accessibility and Job Accommodation (BAJA) and the Illinois ADA Project host an ADA Distance Learning session on "Sign Language Interpreting and Video Remote Interpreting in Medical Settings." This session will discuss the technology that has expanded the options available for communicating with individuals who are deaf but it is not a situation of "one size fits all" and there are many variables that can go into whether or not one method of providing access to a sign language interpreter is more effective than another. This session also discusses the resources that are available to assist an entity meet their effective communication obligations.
