PLEASE HELP US TO PROMOTE THE NEW ILLINOIS HELPLINE FOR OPIOIDS AND OTHER SUBSTANCES

The Outdoor Advertising Association of Illinois has donated billboard space to help promote the Illinois Helpline for Opioids and Other Substances. The Illinois Department of Human Services, Division of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse (IDHS/DASA) will be launching the billboards in April, and would appreciate your help in disseminating a brief survey among your networks to help inform these efforts. We welcome the input of all stakeholders, and particularly hope to get input from people in active addiction or early recovery, and their family and friends. Please note that the survey will be open from Thursday, March 15, 2018 through Saturday, March 17, 2018. Please contact Jen Toth at jtoth@hria.org if you have any questions, and thank you very much for your support.

As you disseminate the brief survey to your partners, clients, and other stakeholders, feel free to use the suggested language below:

Subject: 3-5 minutes of your time to promote treatment and recovery services in Illinois

The Illinois Department of Human Services, Division of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse (IDHS/DASA) would appreciate 3 to 5 minutes of your time to help them effectively promote a new statewide service, the Illinois Helpline for Opioids and Other Substances. The Helpline (833-2FINDHELP) provides information, support, and referrals to treatment and recovery support services throughout Illinois. This service is free and confidential.

The Helpline will be promoted on billboards throughout Illinois, due to a generous donation of billboard space from the Outdoor Advertising Association of Illinois. This is an opportunity to get input on the most effective billboard! Please take this survey to share your opinion by midnight on Saturday, March 17, 2018!

The survey can be found at: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/IllinoisHelpline

The website, http://www.HelplineIL.org, will launch later in March. Anyone in Illinois can now speak with a Helpline Specialist at 833-2FINDHELP.

Thank you very much for your time and opinions.
