Awareness Day 2018:

Partnering for Health and Hope Following Trauma will focus on the importance of an integrated approach to caring for the mental health needs of children, youth, and young adults who have experienced trauma, as well as their families. More than 1,100 communities and 160 national collaborating organizations and federal programs will organize local Awareness Day activities and events around the country.

This year's national theme is "Partnering for Health and Hope Following Trauma."

The State of Illinois is "glowing" with excitement!

In honor of Children's Mental Health Awareness Day several State landmarks are assisting DMH with reducing stigma of Children's Mental Health by lighting their buildings green! Those participating so far are Chicago's Prudential Plaza located 130 E. Randolph from (May 9-11), Blue Cross Blue Shield Building 300 E. Randolph (May 8-15). And in Decatur the Tate & Lyle/Staley Building, located 2200 E Eldorado St, Decatur, will light their dome on May 10th. 2018 Children's Mental Health Day Proclamation.
