If a client claims they tried to obtain cash at an ATM and no cash was received, but their Illinois Link account was charged, the client must call the Illinois Link Helpline to request an account investigation.
If the client claims they were improperly charged by a retailer at a POS terminal, the client's best option is to return to the retailer to resolve the problem. If the retailer is unwilling to resolve the dispute, the client must call the Helpline to
request an account investigation.
The Department does not resolve disputed transactions.
