Example: Mother works 15 hours per week. She must take part in an activity for at least 15 hours per week to reach the required 30 hours of participation. She may be required to take part in the activity for more hours
per week if needed to make participation effective.
2. 06 Cases
Example 1: Father works 40 hours per week at minimum wage. Mother cares for children ages one and 2. Family's plan is for father to seek better paying job/promotion and mother to look for work when children are older
and go to pre-school. Neither parent is required to participate in work and training.
When children are in pre-school, mother participates 30 hours per week. She may participate less if there is a reason for it.
Example 2: Mother works 35 hours per week at minimum wage. Children, ages 7 and 9, both attend school. Father lost his factory job 9 months ago when the plant closed. Family's plan is for father to find a job. Father
must take part in an activity for at least 30 hours per week.
