  1. (Provider) Bill HFS following Medicare procedures.
  2. (FCRC) Refer inquiries from providers about billing to BCHS.

    For AABD, clients receiving hospice care in a long term care facility stay in the long term care payment system. 

  3. (Provider) Responsible for the total care of the client, including room and board.
  4. (CO) Pays hospice provider.
  5. (Provider) Responsible for paying long term care facility.
  6. (CO) Puts non-payable bed reserve on long term care client's bed when payment request is received from hospice provider.
  7. (CO) Removes non-payable bed reserve when information is received that client has terminated hospice care.
