A client can leave (disenroll from) an MCO at anytime without a reason. The client may contact the MCO directly or call the Health Benefits and All Kids Hotline to disenroll. Disenrollment is effective 20 to 75 days after the form is processed by the central office.

A client who moves from the area covered by their MCO must contact both the MCO and the Family Community Resource Center. The client can either enroll in an MCO that covers the area they now live in, if there is one, or return to regular medical.
