Beginning in the 6th month of the first enrollment period, the system performs a monthly review of Family Health Spenddown cases which do not have a All Kids Assist, Moms and Babies, QMB, SLIB, or QI-1 member, or a person on a waiting list for
a transplant. If spenddown has not been met in one of the last 3 months, the case is canceled by the system. A notice is sent before cancellation, informing the client:
- that enrollment/eligibility is ending and
- that if medical benefits are needed, they must reapply and verify income and other eligibility factors (if necessary).
