The payee for a GA unit must be an adult. To qualify as an adult for GA Transitional Assistance (GA-TA) the person must be at least age 18, or married and living with their spouse. For a GA Family and Children Assistance (GA-FCA) unit, the adult must
meet relationship requirements or be the child(ren)'s legal guardian (see PM 03-05-02).
