  1. (FCRC) Verify the new income amount when information indicates a change in income.
  2. (FCRC) For AABD Medical, verify the asset amount when a person has a new asset or when nonexempt excess assets are no longer available (not simply reduced).
  3. (FCRC) Redo monthly income for the month income changed, and for AABD Medical redo assets for the month following the asset change. An asset change may result from a change in who lives together.
    1. For FamilyCare Assist and All Kids Assist, use Form 2383A or ACM MANG Actual Screens.
    2. For AABD Community, use Form 2382A or ACM MANG Actual Screens.
    3. For AABD LTC and SLF, use Form 2382GC.
  4. (FCRC) Use the recomputed monthly income, and for AABD Medical assets, to figure the client's new monthly spenddown for each remaining month of the enrollment period. If the excess asset is only reduced, do not reduce the asset spenddown amount.
  5. (FCRC) Immediately fill out Form 552 with TA 31 in Item 3 and the new monthly spenddown amount in Item 80 or use ACM to change the amount.
  6. (FCRC) Use the new monthly income to determine if spenddown for the month is met for each month, beginning with the month income changed.
  7. (FCRC) Notify the client of a change in the spenddown amount.
    1. Send Form 2434A to notify the client in the community.
    2. Send Form 2434C to notify the client in an LTC or SLF facility.
  8. (FCRC) Update the affected months on the Summary Record Maintenance if a record exists in ASDS.
  9. (FCRC) Access the Change spenddown Amount for Future Met Months function, if the case is in met status.
