  1. If eligible, approve Medical:
    • for the month of death,
    • the month of application, and
    • any other consecutive month within the 3 months before the month of application.
  2. Complete and mail Form 2432:
    • if nonexempt income is over the standard; and/or
    • nonexempt assets are over the asset limits (spenddown); and
    • allowable medical costs met spenddown.

NOTE: Do not complete a Form 2432 when spenddown is met by carryover, old bills, or a noncovered service.
